The obverse of this groundbreaking coin features a collaborative design by the Chief Engravers of the United States Mint, Joseph Menna, and The Royal Mint, Gordon Summers—making it the first of its kind created by the Chief Engravers of two of the world’s largest mints.

For the first time, Lady Liberty and Britannia appear together on a coin, symbolizing the longstanding relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom. The reverse design complements the obverse, also crafted by the Chief Engraver of the United States Mint.

This collectible coin is sculpted in high relief and made of 24K gold, enhancing the significance of its designs.

Obverse: The coin showcases allegorical portraits of Liberty and Britannia in stoic profiles, featuring elements reminiscent of playing cards. Liberty holds a torch and is adorned with stars, while Britannia wields a trident and wears a Corinthian helmet. Inscriptions include “LIBERTY” and “2024.”

Reverse: The design depicts the sun rising over the Atlantic Ocean, framed by two shores. A Great Basin Bristlecone Pine tree represents the west, while an English Yew tree symbolizes the east, together heralding new possibilities for the friendship between the two nations. Inscriptions on this side include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “LIBERTY AND BRITANNIA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “AU 24 1 OZ.,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the denomination of “$100.”
