The Morgan Dollar, designed by Mint Chief Engraver George T. Morgan (1845–1925), was minted from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921. This iconic silver dollar symbolizes the nation’s westward expansion and industrial growth in the late 19th century. The newly created Morgan Dollar, utilizing modern technology and U.S. Mint historical assets, boasts a stunning uncirculated finish.
On the obverse, Liberty is depicted in profile, adorned with a cap, flora, and a crown inscribed with the word “LIBERTY.” Surrounding her are 13 stars, the phrase “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” and the year of issuance. The reverse features an eagle with outstretched wings, grasping arrows and an olive branch, framed by a wreath. The inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “ONE DOLLAR.”
The coin comes encapsulated in a stylish clamshell, housed within an elegant blue presentation box decorated with the official United States Mint seal.
