Celia Cruz was a Cuban-American singer, cultural icon, and one of the most popular Latin artists of the 20th century. Known internationally as the “Queen of Salsa,” Cruz received numerous accolades, including three American Grammy Awards, four Latin Grammy Awards, the Presidential Medal of Arts, and countless lifetime achievement awards.

- Reverse (Tails): The coin features a dynamic depiction of Celia Cruz, flashing her dazzling smile while performing in a rumba-style dress. Her signature catchphrase “¡AZÚCAR!” is inscribed on the right, alongside additional inscriptions: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “25₵,” and “CELIA CRUZ.”
- Obverse (Heads): The common design depicts a portrait of George Washington, originally composed and sculpted by Laura Gardin Fraser as a candidate entry for the 1932 quarter, which commemorated the bicentennial of George Washington’s birth. Inscriptions on this side include “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “2024.”
