1927-D Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle, MS65+ PCGS CAC
The 1927-D Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle stands as the rarest regular-issue 20th-century American coin in copper, silver, or gold. There are only 12 to 13 examples that are believed to exist today, and only seven coins are available for collectors. This rarity was originally offered by the Treasury Department in 1932 to collectors for face value plus shipping.
