American Innovation $1 Coin 2024 Rolls and Bags – Alabama

$1.00

On July 16, 1969, the world watched in awe as the Saturn V rocket launched the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon, marking a pivotal moment in human history. Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first men to walk on the lunar surface, a triumph that captured the hearts and minds of people worldwide. This achievement was a significant victory in the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union.

The Saturn V rocket, developed at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, was instrumental in all six Apollo Moon landings, successfully carrying out each mission without losing any crew members or cargo. In total, 15 Saturn V rockets were constructed, with 13 launching successful missions and two remaining on public display at the Kennedy Space Center, named after the President who first envisioned sending America to the Moon.
