This 2024 set features four stunning coins encased in a clear plastic lens, presented in a beautifully designed package. The collection highlights significant American innovations and innovators from Illinois, Alabama, Maine, and Missouri, making it a fantastic addition to any collection or a perfect gift for special occasions.

Coin Designs:

• Common Obverse: Features a dramatic profile of the Statue of Liberty, with inscriptions “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “$1.” Designed by Justin Kunz, it includes a privy mark of a stylized gear, symbolizing industry and innovation. The edge-incused inscriptions read “2024,” “S” mint mark, and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
• Illinois: Showcases a large steel plow blade attached to a right-handed beam, surrounded by big bluestem prairie grass and a field of soil. Inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “STEEL PLOW,” and “ILLINOIS.” John Lane’s steel plow revolutionized farming in the Midwest, making it possible to cultivate what is now known as “America’s Breadbasket.”
• Alabama: Depicts the Saturn V rocket launching with the Moon in the background. Inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “SATURN V,” and “ALABAMA.” This rocket was pivotal in the Apollo 11 mission, enabling Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin to become the first men to walk on the Moon—a monumental achievement in the Space Race.
• Maine: Features a profile portrait of Dr. Bernard Lown operating his direct current defibrillator. Inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “BERNARD LOWN, M.D.,” “DIRECT CURRENT DEFIBRILLATOR,” and “MAINE.” Lown’s invention transformed cardiac care and paved the way for numerous lifesaving devices used today.
