The 2023 American Women Quarters Proof Set™ includes all five quarters for 2023, elegantly packaged in a protective lens to showcase their unique proof finish.
This set marks the second annual release in a four-year series that honors the achievements and contributions of women who have shaped our nation’s history and paved the way for future generations.
Starting in 2022 and continuing through 2025, the Mint will issue five new quarters each year featuring reverse designs that celebrate prominent American women.
Each coin in this series features a common obverse design depicting George Washington, originally composed and sculpted by Laura Gardin Fraser for the 1932 quarter commemorating Washington’s bicentennial. The inscriptions include “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “2023.”
The reverse designs of the American Women Quarters honor a diverse group of notable women who made significant contributions in various fields such as suffrage, civil rights, government, science, and the arts, representing ethnically, racially, and geographically diverse backgrounds.
The 2023 reverses honor the following women:

Additional inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “25¢,” and “EDITH KANAKAʻOLE.”
