James Buchanan Presidential Silver Medal

$90.00

James Buchanan, a prominent lawyer and Secretary of State, served as the 15th President of the United States. Notably, he was the first U.S. President from Pennsylvania and the only one who never married. Buchanan’s exceptional public speaking skills led to his election to the House of Representatives five times and to the Senate three times. He became President in 1856, during a deeply divided era over slavery, a conflict he struggled to resolve. His presidency ended with seven states seceding from the Union, and he did not win re-election, handing over the presidency to Abraham Lincoln.

This exquisite Presidential Silver Medal honors James Buchanan’s legacy, crafted with 99.9% fine silver by the United States Mint.
