Uncirculated Coin Set 2023

The 2023 United States Mint Uncirculated Set features two cards, each containing 10 encapsulated coins with uncirculated finishes. One card includes coins from the United States Mint in Philadelphia, while the other features those minted in Denver. Each card is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and detailed coin specifications printed on the back.

  • Bessie Coleman – The first African American and first Native American woman to earn a pilot’s license.
  • Edith Kanakaʻole – An indigenous Hawaiian composer, chanter, kumu hula, and cultural icon.
  • Eleanor Roosevelt – A civil liberties and human rights advocate, leader, reformer, first lady, and author.
  • Jovita Idar – A Mexican-American journalist, activist, teacher, and suffragist.
  • Maria Tallchief – America’s first major prima ballerina.
• One Native American $1 Coin
  • The obverse features Sacagawea carrying her infant son, Jean-Baptiste, with the inscriptions “LIBERTY” and “IN GOD WE TRUST.” The reverse design highlights Maria Tallchief in a balletic pose, celebrating her and four other American Indian ballerinas from Oklahoma known as the “Five Moons.” The lunar motif nods to their legacy, while inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “MARIA TALLCHIEF,” “$1,” and “AMERICAN INDIANS IN BALLET.” The edge of the coin includes the year of minting, mint mark, and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
